Even as we speak.

Call them. Ask them if they support Patrick Burns memo. More 76 seat RJs for Endeavor.

Don’t let them talk in circles. Make them write down their position in written form. They never ever will:
Covered the matter in-depth with them. Our MEC is more unified on this issue than any issue. The Chairman's letter represented the position of every Rep I've spoken with or who has published their thoughts.

If you are posting falsehoods in support of recall maybe you can explain why B B (can't use names but rhymes with Cartel) wants Brent out. Thought that they were friendlies, allies. I can not keep track of f-NWA political intrigue. Kindly provide an update if you are so inclined.

Quote: I'm torn on this recall. The lack of a meeting and the perception that the lack of a meeting is only to hold onto their positions really bothers me. KO was an ardent TA1 supporter, I voted against him 2 years ago and I'd love to see him never hold an ALPA position again. You can't ever be THAT wrong and be allowed a position of authority again, it grates on my nerves that C44 elected such a clown.
Many of the people who voted yes for TA1 negotiated and worked on C16, which passed by 82%.

It constantly surprises me that pilots, professionals who are sticklers for compliance with all sorts of regulations (some of which are mostly nonsense) figure that we should just blow off Georgia regulations on meeting size.

It might come across that I'm some superfan of C44 Reps, I'm not. Politicians come and go. What matters is the work that gets done. We've had 4 LOA's directed and passed during COVID. Most of us have either kept our jobs or moved up in relative seniority. As terrible as this pandemic was, it wasn't that bad for us, especially given our company lost $12,500,000,000.00 last year. The C44 Reps didn't simply pander or seek popularity. They made pragmatic decisions to best protect the pilots they represent.

New elections are in October.

Credit where credit is due, nobody lost their job because the government passed CARES, CARES 2, and CARES 3. The company lost billions but they didn't spend a dime on salaries. Furlough WARN notices went out and would've been executed if not for Uncle Sugar.

Quote: The Atlanta Reps directed 3 LOAs.

Those 3 LOA's were ratified by the pilots.

Nobody was furloughed. Most everyone got a better job.

IMHO a resolution of appreciation is more appropriate than a recall.
Your endorsement doesn’t quite have the affect you probably think it has. But please, keep it up.

Except for the fact WARNs were rescinded after 20-04 and before CARES2 happened. Like it or not 20-04 saved jobs if only for a few months (nobody expected Cares 2 and especially 3) and brought more in the gains column than losses. Positive space to and from work for another year and then some.

Very true. But there was more to the VEOP, 20-04, stuff like PS commuting and the Market Based Cash Balance Plan. The Reps crafted a plan that protected jobs, which thankfully was not necessitated because of the PPP. Their willingness to risk unpopularity to protect pilots was, and is, the core of their job as Status Representatives.

Quote: Irony alert. At the same time you accuse others of listening to rumors and not contacting the reps for the real story, you do exactly the same.

BB is a National Officer. He will take your phone call.
Don’t bother, Bar isn’t the kind of guy to go to the source and man up. He’s more an order taker. Remember the famous picture, he looks like someone brought their little brother and he actually thinks he’s in the frat. “What’s he doing here!” Lol

I oppose the company memorandum, and wholeheartedly support the Master Chairman’s decision to respond with a grievance. We must resist all forms of outsourcing, the primary task of a union is to preserve the jobs of its members.

That probably wasn’t the right question...
