Quote: Ever think that maybe there is less flu because ivermectin.
I don’t think a horse dewormer is in any way related to the flu.

Quote: What about those who have had Covid and recovered? Many countries accept that in lue of vaccination status. It appears to be an argument between being vax’ed and unvax’ed, with zero consideration to those that have had it. What say you ALPA?
OMgosh, you did it. You mentioned natural immunity. You might as well bring up Vitamins C, D and zinc while your at it.
Just throw in Ivermectin and HCQ for good measure. Any other code words I missed to get the brigade riled up?

Edit: I popped off without reading the rest of this oh so exciting thread. Lots of Dr. 's and some nurses too.
Anyway, good on you for jumping in so early. I can't believe you didn't get blasted.

Actually ivermectin has been mentioned the most as being repurposed to combat Influenza A.
"Given ivermectin’s longstanding record of clinical applications and FDA-approved status, repurposing of this drug for the treatment of IAV should be considered, especially while under threat of pandemic IAV outbreak."

And no, I won't provide a link. Google it yourself.

The Delta (airline not variant) boys and gals beat this horse to death. Kept beating it. Then the mods buried it. So they dug it back up, gave it a new name, and started beating it again! It may have even happened another time. Best course would be to just keep all your dumb opinions to yourself. Nobody cares. Or we can keep pulling each other off back and forth with the same old tired arguments.

Bottom line is that we are very likely going to be flying to places that require it. Their country, their rules.

When that happens it will ultimately force the company's hand.
I think that this guy nailed it. Case closed.

I was hoping the discussion would be centered around what y’all think fdx would do and your opinions as to how you will proceed accordingly. But I got suckered into the debate. We need another thread! Call it Pilots vs FDX vaccine stance.

The first page or two stayed on that track.

Dont think the company will make it mandatory. Once they make it mandatory i think you enter a gray area with adverse side effects and liability. Right now if you get vaccine...well it was your choice.

OK, updated version:

This needs to go to the Covid 19 thread so that all the same old arguments can happen there.

Pilots can be "vs FDX" as much as they like. It won't and can't change anything above.

As for me, there is no "Pilot vs. FedEx". I'm vaccinated on the advice of my doctor. I will get boosters on the advice of my doctor, whom I have trusted for years with far more serious decisions than whether or not to take a vaccine. He also happens to be an AME and the health officer for a large corporation. I haven't seen a keyboard commando with adequate credentials for me to re-rack their advice over his. And hey, if you don't trust him, 96% of US doctors were vaccinated as of 1 June. I'll get my flying advice from pilots and my medical advice from doctors.

I'll add one final thought. FDX pays Harvey Watt a bunch of money for medical consultation and their advice will probably come from (drumroll please)............DOCTORS
