Quote: Well they’ll have to do one or the other.. I certainly don’t claim to know all the intricacies of this but something will occur.. Unless they are ok with current Status.
They don't have to do anything and likely won't. A stable will never happen and are illegal after the TWA-AA fiasco.

Does that mean a stable (sic) would have a senior regional captain with a seniority number above all but the wide body captains of a major? So, in a buyout or merger they would immediately be sitting in the left seat of a 787? I have some familiarity with the TWA-AA buyout (look at my name). I don’t think it covers a regional buyout by a major.

the Mccaskill-Bond Statute doesn't specify a regional carrier or mainline the wording is "Air Carrier." The law, "establishes that it is the duty of the surviving or combined carrier to provide the fair and equitable seniority list integration process." My uncle was a TWA guy. Only reason I'm a bid familiar with this stuff.

Our ALPA lawyer has already stated that Mccaskill-Bond would not apply to Endeavor being stapled or getting seniority numbers at Delta

McCaskill bond doesn’t apply because Endeavor and Delta are both ALPA carriers therefore ALPA seniority list integration procedures will be used. McCaskill bond is more relevant when groups with different unions merge or if a non union employee group is involved, guaranteeing them the right to proper arbitration under the Allegheny Mohawk LPPs

I love all the airline pilot lawyers we have here. The fact is a staple/merger/marriage/whatever you want it to identify as is highly unlikely. The important things to remember are:

1. The company isn't doing anything meaningful to remain an attractive place to work in a VERY competitive environment.

2. Our own CEO said Delta is content to have us shrink
3. New hires can make $40/hr more at an AA WO and get to Delta faster.

4. We are very short on captains and getting shorter
5. Our retention package is paltry compared to the lost seniority at mainline.

Again, for the kids that weren't paying attention, go elsewhere! Management is not concerned with keeping us industry leading, and that should be a giant red flag.

Right. So then the next step now that people are finally bringing up the act

Alpa mergers and integration doesnt allow for staples either.

So if that were the case and it was totally impossible, why wouldn’t our union put a stop to all the staple rumors?

Jesus, now you've finally come around to where Im at. Have you guys talked to your reps? The union used to havea group called P2P that would stomp out dumb rumors, I dont know if thats really a priority anymore.

Im just trying to figure out what you guys are expecting to happen if you stick around. It seems to be you expect sunshine and rainbows.

I dont think a staple is a solid expectation is all.
