It looks pretty spread out doesn't look like any classes are all ending up at one base or anything.

Quote: 6 of 10 new hires washed out today, thanks to 2 exams written by a lawyer for lawyers, so i heard from one of them. Guess the training dept. still needs some work...
Fact Check - 5 of 10 was the actual count. Not disclosed in TommyLee's post is that the other 5 new-hires scored as well as the upgrades.

Aside from TommyLee's "lawyer" explanation, you may fail a written because you sleep in class, spend too much time texting, read a novel while sitting next to an instructor, argue with the instructors, or even try to cheat on a test. Leave your cell phone off, read the material they give you, stay awake and listen, keep your eyes on you own paper, and you will probably do fine.

A lawyer would probably say, the above paragraph is not to imply the aforementioned statements are the reasons for the failures associated with that class but to offer other reasons why certain individuals do not succeed while engaged in airline training.

Yeah! You take that back. Only 50% of that class failed!

In all seriousness. You get what you pay for and how you treat people. We shouldn't be surprised half the class couldn't pass the writtens

Anyone know what written test it was? Did Moddlin write it? Are the new hire/ upgrade tests open book or is that just for CQ?

Just the take home tests are open book.

You've been hanging out with Modlin a little too much, you've learned Mike/Lawyer speak.

Its sad how the last 15 of 20 pages of this thread deal with the training department. In a way you must give them credit for not lowering standards, but it doesnt mean sending half the classes home for correctable training errors. It seems as though its easier for them to take the cheaper route rather than to work and help pilots meet the high expectations that are given.

I now understand why the trips are so terrible. These are the qualifications you must have to create trips that we have to fly.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Intermediate computer knowledge
• Excellent telephone skills

Don't forget you need an active internet connection so you can work from home in your underwear.
