accepting apps for MIA 767
they posted job opening for FOs in MIA on the 767

no official word on interviews yet, but last vacancy bid had several FO slots open on the 767 in MIA.
No one else in ANC wants to bid it.

Quote: Aloha is short handed on the FO side. If you want to live in Hawaii, (keep in mind it is not cheap to live there) they are hiring.
Starting out you will mostly fly at night, because the day shifts go senior. No ETOPS yet, so only 737 flying in Hawaii.
Is Aloha still hiring? I saw there’s a job posting from February.

What is considered competitive and how long does it typically take to hear back after submitting an application?

Thanks

Yeah, the job window appears still to be open for 737 FOs. The Aloha 767 is still being flown by ATI while Aloha works on getting ETOPS.

The two 767s in MIA (NAC and StratAir liveries) still have openings for FOs.

just to clarify.
Aloha Air Cargo and Northern Air Cargo are still currently operating under different certificates, so in the eyes of the FAA they are 2 different companies. That being said, we have one pilot contract and one seniority list that govern both. Latest word is the merger of the 2 certificates will happen in early 2020. At that time all the pilots on the Aloha Cargo certificate will be brought onto the NAC certifcate.

So what that means for hiring, until the merger is complete, each airline is doing their own hiring. Aloha Cargo only flys the 737 in Hawaii. and they ONLY hire for the 737 in Hawaii.
The 767 is only on the NAC certificate. The plane that flys the LAX-HNL route is on the NAC certifcate. It is currently being flown by ATI under a wet lease agreement. The plan is to get ETOPS certification on the NAC certificate in early 2020. So in the post above where is says, "the Aloha 767", well there is no Aloha 767 and never will be. It will be on the NAC certificate. After the merge "Aloha Air Cargo" will just be a brand name.

is that all clear as mud, haha.

anyway, both companies have a job listing open on their careers page.

Is there a possibility of people based in HNL (from Aloha) being placed in another base after the merge? Or are they guaranteed to stay in HNL?

Guaranteed? In aviation? Now that is funny....

When I said the Aloha 767, I meant the one that's painted in the Aloha Air Cargo livery. Technically, it's not a wet lease. It's a dry lease with a separate, temporary, CMI agreement with ATI until such time as NAC gets its ETOPS certification. However, I appreciate your clarification that the aircraft is on the NAC certificate rather than the Aloha one.

Are there any 767 pilots on here that can give a summary of the training with NAC?

there are no guarantees of anything in aviation. just ask the pilots at United that got displaced out of their domiciles after the merge with CO. or the pilots at Hawaiian that lived in SEA and then HAL closed the base. I could give 50 more examples, but you get the point.

That being said, the answer to your question depends on what you mean. If you are a HNL based 737 and want to stay on the 737 in HNL, you will have no worries of being displaced. The HNL flying is not going anywhere and there are always FOs moving on, so once you are in the base, you would stay there.
But if you got hired and eventually got on the 767 based in HNL.
The company could decide to change the 767 base to LAX or SEA or some other place. In that case, you would have displacement rights, which are basically you can bid for whatever your current seniority can hold. You could even bid to the 737 in HNL.
The merge has no effect on your base. We have one seniority list.
