Quote: Should be interesting then with only 90-100 hours of total flying for 13 pilots.
Those ATL boys is slick, keep your backpack on, out of base flying.
Just reading about the A321NeoLR... has 100 mile more range than the 757W. So basically we're talking about a brand new 1984 B-757 with French plates. And just how do you compute a 100 mile range increase? Fifi lovers should be thrilled.
Quote: Just a little more FYI, THE RLL number is block hours divided by the ALV, which it seems to my public math would be 1.25 or so, not 13 for NYC717B. Looks like most will be on reserve, but I could be wrong
The RLL number is posted on the info page of PBS. It's 13 for NYC 717B
Okay you PBS guru's. Answer me this. I have December vacation 21-27. I'm going to try and slide it to 23-29. If I bid this on a reserve line, will it go thru? I ask this because the minimum days block of on call is 4 days. This would only give me two, depending on what I bid for January. Thanks,

Denny

You have rich people problems. Lol. I'm trying to bid any way I can to not work 10 days straight or 9 out of 10 thanks to a ****ty CQ. CQ needs to pay 5:15 per day. It usually messes up my whole schedule, but this time it is happening the worst time possible, a couple days after Christmas.
Quote: Anyone one else see this: SEA-73N: The plan for SEA shows growth in 2015. We believe there is enough of a 73N presence to justify the SEA 73N categories. A final decision has not been made but we are leaning strongly toward this move.
A 737 category in SEA??

Someone had better get permission from Alaska first!!

I pray they don't try to fly it up to Juno...because...well...just because!

AFAIK, this is allowed, specifically because PBS doesn't "know" what you'll get in JAN. You can't bid two days on at the beginning of the month, but on the back-end, it assumes you will resolve the issue with the following month. IOW, it wouldn't let you have 01 JAN off.

It should work fine. Sometimes, it's also a good way to have a uselessly short period of availability, if bidding REG the following month.

Yes it's legal. You can have a "too short block" i.e. <4 if it touches the end of the bid period. If you bid reserve in January and can hold the 1st off it will give it to you and leave the block as is. Great way to game the system in a catagory with lots of long trips.

That was me last year. Funny how all the non-ATL guys go to CQ right before Christmas. It was a frikkin LAX 737 convention.

If it's any consolation, the instructors don't want to be there either.
