Quote: Swap with the pot question:

How soon before the trip starts will a swap with the pot be accepted? Ie if I have a blind swap in for any 4 day trip starting today will it go through?
0700 PCS run the day prior.

Sick time is pay and credit.
>>So you can call out one time, for 240-270 hours, and not have to even provide a note?<<

Theoretically. But..I would expect some kind of inquiry. 12.F.4. covers the "good faith basis" inquiry. It says they can't invoke it just based on the time used, so they'd come up with some other reason.

To continue the discussion-- Does anyone else see some goofy logic between 12.F.6.a. (50 hour verification exemption) and 12.F.2 and 3. ??

If you are sick for that amount of time it’s almost certainly a serious illness. You will get a phone call from the CP’s office after a week or two and once explained the issue is over. Most in that situation simply call the CP’s office to let them know what is going on as would almost any employee in other jobs.

This is absolutely correct. The definitions in the sick leave section define an occurrence as the period between when you call in sick and call in well. No time period. 240 hours would just be one long sick occurrence.

The 100/160 limits only look at sick time in completed bid months and previous occurrences....not the current bid month or an "in progress" occurrence. For example, if you were sick for two months....first month for 75 hours and the next month for 75 hours, and then called in well. Then you called in sick a second time in the second month, no verification would be required because you had only 75 hours in "completed bid months".

No real way for a GFB here. The PWA specifically prohibits GFBing people about the length and frequency of their sick leave (as the sole reason). Sure, the CPO could probably call, but unless they had a legit GFB, that's all it would be.

Delta got a Colorado base? Sorry, couldn't resist.
If business is just business, maybe we can get 5 more 777s

Would be great, but DL thinks the ones we have are too heavy to make money. I think we could use two or three more, launch Auckland and maybe Cape Town or use it on Sao Paolo for it's cargo capabilities.

And hopefully buy them for $7.7m/plane. Who cares how heavy they are at that point.....😁

The LR is a specialty player in the industry.....a long ball hitter.

Seems there are a limited # of operators that would be buyers. We are certainly one of them.
