I think in reality they’re a lot closer to the same thing than people generally pick up. So, not sure if it would be worth the jump to Delta. But it may be.
This management team (at Delta) is making numerous moves to turn the goodwill of the pilot group into a smoldering heap of ashes. Starting with the optimizer that has just trashed our rotations, JV scope issues, "what's a SIL", the UNA debacle, etc, etc. This is still a good place to work, but the whole "Delta Family" and "Rules of the Road" is just a charade. This is a fortune 500 company, and we are employees. That's not a bad thing, but that's just how it is. And there are lots of people in the company who are really trying to work for the betterment of other employees, but they're limited by senior management who is ultimately steering the ship.
That said I still feel we have a better culture than AA. Is that a major reason to leave there? Probably not, but to each their own.
