Quote: Plenty of the routes would be more efficient if flown with a single turbine vice a multi piston. Also the increased cost of AVGAS vice Jet fuel seems like it will become a huge problem in the future.

Freddy knew what he was doing when he ask Cessna to build the Caravan for FredEx! in the 1980's.

I'm not too sure you can fly pax IFR FAR 135 in a single turbine.

Quote: Cape seems like a good place to go for someone not interested in a 121 career and trying to break into the the 135 charter/corporate world. Solid 135 PIC experience and I'm guessing the schedules are slightly better than night freight.
Actually..... This is a great place for people to go who want to fly 121. Just ask the people who are now sitting at JetBlue.

Not over water farther than your power-off glide distance.

Just saw a post on WFFF for hiring at Cape...

With around 1300 TT/950 Multi is there a decent shot to get hired for either CPT or FO? I've had my app in for a while, but I hadn't updated it until just the other day. As a new hire (either position), what are the chances of getting a BHB or AUG base? Thanks!

Probably a good idea... Just curious though if they are still having people who are close to ATP do the mail runs 135 unscheduled?

You can. One of Cape Air's competitors in Hyannis flys the Caravan to ACK.
