Maybe they should reconsider, given they have to cancel flights due to a "pilot shortage"

I think the big problem is they need Captains.

16 flights isn't that many considering how many flights each base has per day.

I recently heard of some folks getting hired as "on-call" instead of part time. Does anyone know of the difference? Does a part timer still get travel benefits?

On call is the new contract language for the part timers. Cape will hire captains part time if you have a ATP MEL. Only rub is finding a qualified ATP that wants to fly a 402 part time. Most are looking for full time work and with several thousand hours, the turbine regionals are scooping them up. They do like retired 121 guys and several are on the property. The on call minimum is 5 days a month. You can work as much as you want over that with tons of premium pay overtime shifts available in all bases. Great company and training program but it is a 402. CASS jumpseat is unique in the 135 world and is a great perk.

I wonder how someone would deal with training if they could only work part time. It took 2 months to get me through.

I've been thinking about applying at Cape. I hold both land and sea single and multi CPL/CFII. Where are the seaplanes based, is it still just Miami ?
