Quote: You should quote the whole sentence, it's meaningless if they don't park the 72s by the end of the year. Which their is no indication that they are.
As of the last "all employee conference call" Nov 2'nd, DM stated that on the CCI side, they are waiting for a decision from DHL to proceed with the 727 swap out for a fifth 757. He went on to say that there is no further discussions to swap out the remaining 727's but were hopeful for word on both these issues in the next few days.

Well it's been two weeks since the conference call with no word from mgt and, if the "street" has it right, three maybe four 727's are going to desert sooner than later.

This looks like an indication to me that the 72s are gone by the end of December.

Just because there's no indication of a swap means they are just going away. Nobody knows. Hopefully for everyone they stick around, the more airframes the better. The fourth is suppose to come out this month and take the place of a 72 line. That leaves 3 72 lines plus a reserve. The fifth is being talked about and not even in the pipe. DHL wont commit. And knowing that it takes 4 months to do a conversion doesn't seem like the next 72 is going to be parked anytime soon.

Everyone goes to ATI training in the next month, their is a 72 scheduled for C check and come to think of it I think they are writing the training schedules for the 72 crews for jan and feb.

Quote: I disagree, CCIA is suppose to get a bunch of 757's, that means work for everyone. Vote yes or no either way you send a message to ATSG. Decide what message you want to send. Either way CCIA is getting more 757's. Do you want to be a part of it or try and stop it and go alone.

You have absolutely no credibility.

Quote: No because it's a lose situation for us on the end of seniority
Quote: Of course your very concerned for the capital guys to provide for their families also, right ?
I'll respond to your sarcastic remark. I am on my third ATSG furlough. I am concerned for anybody who has to deal with being furloughed. That includes Capital guys.

As difficult as it is to be furloughed, at least I always knew that decisions were made based on what is considered to be a fair process, the seniority system. While it sucks to be the junior person, I knew it was a union job when I accepted it. That's just the way the system works. I also have the possibility to enjoy the benefits of seniority some day.

What concerns me is the possibility that the process is being manipulated by management. I don't think the managers have any personal grudge against me any more than I think they have a preference for Capital guys. They see that a Capital guy with a date of hire similar to mine will be at year 1, 2 or 3 on the pay scale and I am at year 12 on the pay scale. That's a difference of at least $19,000 per year. Extend that to the approximately 50 furloughed ATI guys and the savings is just under $1 million per year.

So ATSG is manipulating the system to keep the less expensive Capital guys while excluding the ABX/ATI guys. The problem is that it isn't fair.

that just sounded funny when you are talking about seniority and airline management decisions. LOL

So much for CCI bringing eight airframes to the merger. A lie.

So much for CCI bringing "needed 757 experience to solidify the combi contract". A lie.

Each of these two points JV had sold to us (ATI) at the pilot meetings starting in MIA. And what does ATI get out of the merger John was asked? He's response was "Your jobs". Again, another lie.
Well said FAJ. Thank you.

Kinda Funny
Don't take this the wrong way and all but I just find it amusing that every ATSG airline post in APC ends up boiling down to ABX vs. ATI vs. CCI. Everyone has strong points but ATSG, if they do troll, must just sit back and laugh. Seems like its going to be one family sooner rather than later and I would assume everyone would want to try to be a happy and not play into ATSG's divide and concur theory

My ATI topic: 170+ posts
My ABX topic: 90+ posts
This one: 15 so far in one day

Is it fair to sit in the right seat of an ATI bird and make an extra check, more money than somebody else that's true ATI not a transplant from ABX. I'm sure in your world that's ok. I'm sure in a real ATI pilots world that's not fair. But I'm sure your not complaining about that.

If your a 12 year ATI pilot why are you comparing yourself to a 2 year capital guy
