You're kind of quiet all of a sudden. I guess it's more fun when it's happening to someone else.

ATSG will never merge ABX with ATI. ABX is the premier carrier. They will not dilute ABX reputation with some bottom feeders.

Not really... just not much going on.... the proposed furloughs once again is just more posturing...what would you like to discuss?

Explain the "it's happening to someone else" part...

Oh, yeah? We're the premium bottom feeder. Prepare to be diluted. Or should I say "deluded"?

Did you read my last reply about this? If the flight goes from a ABX20XX to ABX397, then ABX has taken the flight back over. Still shows GTI397; so Atlas. Like I said before, if anything SFO is the next swap to help Atlas reliability.

Management has informed the pilot group at ABX that they need concessions. If management gets what they want, they might be able to mitigate some or all of the 20 furloughs. I don't know what they'll propose but I'm guessing there will be no guarantees. We could give them the concessions and they could turn around and furlough even more next month.

Last time, they tried to get concessions on the Lima, Peru trip. We called their bluff and they backed down at the eleventh hour.

It seems to me that we have them over a barrel, at least for now. They can't take away most of our planes because of our scope. They don't want to furlough, let's say, 20 off the bottom because when they recall, they will have to recall guys currently at ATI or furloughed from ATI instead of the 20 they furloughed. If they recall the ATI guys, they will have to go through a lengthy and costly training program. They know it and we know it. I say we tell them to shove it up their tailpipe. Call their bluff and see what happens.

I'm not sure what's going on there. I thought the same thing about the training cost when I heard about the notice.

Maybe this is a red herring. What else could Mgt be after?

If they come out with another LOA, we need to fix the voting process. Furloughed guys who have moved on should not be allowed to vote and decide our fate.
