So it's ok to bash Ccia, bash Ccia pilots, Ccia people, ccia management, ccia equipment, put the company down, but as soon as I point out how screwed up ATI is, I'm a douchbag.

I certainly don't have to worry about any of you flying the 75 or 72, cause you couldn't fit your heads in the cockpit.

Hey CCIA is owned by ATSG, which was formed by Abx air.
Do you get it now?
Cappy was allowed to survive to allow the destruction of Abx. This is about driving wages down.
Crappy is just that!
You were bought out not because you were great, but because you weren't....wake up!

The simple fact is this.... Back during the BAX days, ATI was the only ATSG airline consistently in the black. Once BAX was over, Cappy was able to pick up more DHL domestic flying while ATI was locked out. Cappy was also able to reduce overhead a lot quicker while ATI was running at something like 60 employees per airplane at one point right after the -71s were parked (the recent house cleanings over the last year has helped). So while it may look like Cappy is doing better NOW, a simple search of the history will show the entire story. However, aviation is the "what have you done for me now business" so the recent numbers can't be overlooked; I'll give Cappy that. Yet I seem to recall a couple LARGE FAA fines that weren't paid by Cappy before the merger.... Just sayin'

It's been said before and worth saying again; Cappy brought 3 757s to the party (loyal workforce aside). That is literally it. Their operating certificate/Op Specs are very basic (don't even have the RNAV SID/STAR Op Spec) and the "temporary" black was already noted above.

Hey do you realize that ABX is an ACMI carrier. Trust me wages are going to come down all on their own, it's the ACMI market. You can blame cappy but you have 5 atlas 76s sitting right next to yours in the same colors.

CHI was bought not for cappy for everything else like CAM. So you can blame me, blame cappy but like typical errogant asses you will never look at your house and your business model. It's always somebody else's fault.

So please don't lecture me on how bad cappy is and how the pilot group brings nothing. We just got merged into a company that's losing its ass. What do you think is gonna happen to the next ATI contract, if we survive to the next contract. Is that cappies fault or the pilot groups fault.

Yeah time to wake up. Question is who is sleeping ?

Cappy was in the black since it started in 1995. Went into the Red for the first time when we lost Bax. Seriously bro you have no history and no accuracy as to your statement.

Next.....

What do you mean next? While everyone was fat, dumb, and happy flying BAX, ATI was supplementing its revenue with AMC work and worldwide charters. This was even before the 767s started arriving opening even more flying avenues.

Plus notice the word "consistently."

I give Cappy credit where credit is due in a thought out logical post and your response is simply next?

Ccia was in the black since 1995, even through all the BAX years. Peter fox never wanted a world wide carrier, never wanted wide bodies he was very happy with the relationship with Bax and also the little bit of DHL flying out of Mia which was also very profitable. We had contracts with emery that went away, and the post office that went away. Bax ended up being the only game in town for the domestic 72. We still made money, not much.

Was it as profitable as ATI back than ? Absolutely not. But don't forget at one point in time express net, kitty hawk, and cat were all sitting on the Bax ramp in 72s trying to get a piece of the pie. So their was never big profits to be had. Which means the pilot contract was also never lucrative either.

Fast forward to Bax/DHL and ATSG new owners. They grew us to a point that was not sustainable because that's what they new, the crews were screaming you cant do this. They wasted tons of money on bad schedules and over staff. Their was no way we were gonna be profitable while our new management was going through a steep learning curve.

So all that got eventually reduced drastically the other way. Where are we now is pretty much the way we use to operate for Bax. Our management went through the learning phase and we are operating normal.

As for FAA, all the LOIs we had that Ken O helped us get, got cleared couple of years ago. I know their was lots of threats of fines I don't know if they were mitigated down or if they were settled to zero. All that was done a couple years ago.

Do we have a great operating certificate, no, I never said nor any Ccia person is gonna tell you it is. Do the 72s bring anything ? Of course they do, they have contacts and operating revenue just like the 75s.

I'll let others address this in greater detail but I'll at least give you props for actually providing a reply with a lot of substance and talking points this time (overlooking the continued grammatical errors). Saying things like "another tailstrike" goes nowhere and only benefits those who have popcorn

Like it or not, you all are going to be sharing a cockpit sooner rather then later. Need to find the common ground and move forward together, unified!

Lol well when you keep getting told you don't bring anything and capital is bringing us down, from guys who's own airline is losing its ass, it gets old. We bring eight aircraft flying and a lot of hard working great people that want nothing but to go to work and be left alone. We don't play politics and don't play union games because we never could with 3 or 4 other carriers competing to put us out of business.

Just remember Ken O was our management when we got 75s. He wanted to shelve 2 of the 3 autopilots because, why do we need 3 auto pilots on an aircraft. We were so far away from RNAV SIDS and STARs, because our management had absolutely no interest in it. Training to them was a liability.
