Quote: Correct, we have displacement language that kicks in for 2020 I believe. So there will be some displacements after that point.
Talked to a buddy and he will actually get more days off as a rsv 190 captain then he is from a 320 fo lineholder. Isn’t planning on doing it for long. Just till the 220 gets here and things start moving again.

The 190 fleet will apparently start to go away around 2022ish, so we’ll see how that goes for displacements.
It would be highly unlikely that we would see displacements anytime soon unless we close a base or started turning in more 190’s then 220’s we receive. The moving expenses and Domino effect of displacements could trigger costly events for the company. As long as we stay in growth mode displacements aren’t too much concern but when the musical chairs stop look out..

A RSV pilot gets 13 days off. I regularly see lineholders with 15-20 days off. That logic does not compute.

Yeah I’m a little confused as well.
Maybe if you got 2 prls and pto 2 and uto 1 that could get you 18.

I agree, but think a base closure is likely before we see displacements for 190s. LGB comes to mind...

The expenses would only get out of control if you actually live in the base and would have to move.

That's precisely what a displacement involves in a senior base. Most people live in base, minus JFK.

I am not sure this is true that most live in base? Also Your saying they would move? I doubt it. I am probably wrong.

Well, moving is certainly an individual choice. Some would. Some wouldn't. I would, because commuting is a special kind of hell I try to avoid.

If he uto a day he will get 14/15 off each month. He was a more junior line holder not loving red eyes.
