Why would guys bid training over the holidays if they don't have to?
The trips so far are nothing to brag about. So they probably can hold nicer trips on the 737.
If they can hold a line on the 737 they can probably hold a line on the 757/767. Why lock yourself out of the 757/767 for two years when you're about to hold a line on it?
Why bid the AB and take the 2 yr lock in when they can bid it in a couple of months when they see trips they want to fly?
When better trips start showing up, and guys realize how junior it is (newhires are as high as #3 of 25 on the airplane!) local 737 guys might start bidding it. 757/767 newhires should be lineholders at about the one year mark(early next year). They'll have to figure out if they want to be junior 757/767 FO's ($ and longer trips) or pretty senior AB FO's.
Once the SLI happens there will be boatloads of AB guys bidding to MIA...Originally Posted by Sliceback
