Wow,
Crapload can happen when you go off and do some flying.
Thanks for the kudos
ATCsaidDoWhat. Those moments of recognition by others for past work done almost makes it worth it. You were also much more concise and eloquent on stating what has happened and not to take what is said at face value and to "check it out".
I think it was cargowannabe giving the oral questions. I do have to stand corrected and apologize. I believe the actual number on Alexander was 290K at that time and not 300K although he is heading into Step 2 of his latest Section 19 he has. I'm pretty sure the number I said will be exceeded soon at the collective memberships expense. The number is the accumilative since the IBT had to deal with him. The first Section 19 he had was back during the TEC days, so you have to reach back some. Can't say for ALPA, didn't look at that.
As to the breakfast table, LM-2 and the general ledger. I never use breakfast table info as fact, though I do use it as smoke leading me to a fire to find out the real facts.
The General ledger is open for review in Wilmington and is used to fill out the LM-2 with the DOL electronically. Looking at the general ledger, you kind of have to know what your looking for. In Alexander's case it carries across years back to the TEC, when we first changed over to the IBT on his drug Section 19. Predating a lot of his current election fan base.
For the average Joe, I would suggest using the LM-2 filings they are open for review from the DOL. Costs about 20 cents a page and is very detailed. It will set you back some money. Here is the link to get you started
https://cslxwep1.dol-esa.gov/Disclosure/OrderLM1234.jsp. That will work for the past filings.
Being they have not done the LM-2 filing yet for 2014 due in Dec, you need to go to Wilmington for a book inspection.
I stand for all members, good and bad. You pay dues, you get represented to the best of the locals ability. Unfortunately, you get those that fall into the 80/20 rule. The twenty percent that causes eighty percent of the problems. Alexander is one of them.
He covets union position to server his own needs first. There is little, actually nothing positive documented or otherwise that he has contributed as an appointed Steward or other past committee work. He has used his positions for access for his personal desires. His ill advice to two members has actually cost them jobs which could have been saved or minimized through the proper section 19 process that he spends so much of our money and time on for his own self induced screw ups. Of which his latest he was happy to try and toss the other crewmembers under the bus for.
A leopard doesn't change it's spots and that is why I'm trying push everyone to check him out and not take him at face value or his campaign pledges. Integrity and transparency obviously go to the wayside at a whim or when it is inconvenient. I'm sure that will not change if he gets into office. The election and position is not for serving oneself but to serve the membership.
Now he wants more access at our collective expense. He is just using the rage and lack of knowledge of history of our newer brother and sisters to his advantage.
