nah no worries Ted. it is good that we have many guys running. it does indicate that there is dissatisfaction on the line but also indicates there is lots of interest which we have rarely had at Atlas. it will be important to have the right people in place which is why you see the rhetoric you see. my point to you was that a stewarD should be above the fray.

The really sad thing is that grown men hiding behind the anonymity of the internet while spreading slanderous statements that violate the most basic pillar of our democracy think they know what is best for the Atlas pilot group.

Full disclosure, I will be running and involved in our future.

You are ABSOLUTELY right.Hearsay is hearsay. What I have quoted is a FACT plain and simple. And as was pointed out it is not slander, or defamation (which is what I think you were implying) if it is the truth.

That is great, but where can we find this information that you are privy to? If the information is available to the public then post the source or post how to get it. Why should anyone take your word for it? This is all very tacky; someone needed to call you out on it since this forum lacks a moderator.

You could call either of the Stewards that were helping with his case. You could go to the union hall and ask to see the amount of money spent on termination arbitrations in 2010/11. You could talk to either of the former TEC chairman and ask them as at least one of them was involved. If you do get elected as a steward this case may actually be an example during your training. The problem is that three out of the five people who actually know what went on are running for exco. So I don't expect you will take their word for it. The other person is the attorney and the fifth person is being sued so I don't expect he will talk to you. I guess it all comes down to who you believe. Better yet, if you want to be a steward, stay out of the politics, keep your own counsel, believe no one on this issue, and vote your conscience.

If it's the truth, there is nothing to worry about and I'm not worried.

I suggest you go and ask your union leadership or 1224 on his current section 19 grievance #AAI-2014-034. Thats JA's for not playing well with cabin and flight crew and other policy violations. Despite his actions, I'm sure our other stewards will save his job. They have a good record of that vs JA's record of getting guys fired.

I'm just sorry that he has a cadre of fanatical believers. Funny how you believe what he says despite his record past and present.

Very good, then the individuals who are so vocal on this topic in this forum have no authority to be discussing the “facts” of what happened. Back to how tacky all of this is. Thank you for clarifying where everyone can go to find the details of this situation so we can all decide for ourselves.

Again, you guys are all preaching to vote on issues and not attack people, all while non stop attacking this one guy. The reason most of us like Atlas is because the crews. 99.9% of guys/gals are really fun to fly with and great pilots. I'm sure you guys fall into the majority there, but the relentless attacks on these boards is making you look bad. We're all adults at this company and can figure it out on our own. Drop the attack banter. It's bad form. The facts on all the people running will hopefully be researched by all before voting, so let's let the pilots be adults and decide on their own.

Your scenario would be the most disturbing, that one of our own Stewards or ExCo members (current or former) would be actively disclosing information on pilot’s personal dealings with the union and/or management. That would be a real blow to our solidarity. Create distrust in the process, and discourage future participation within the union. That sounds more like something a management troll would do, being this is a public forum, and our future leadership team has as much of an impact on them as it does on us.

Users beware.
