Actually, not so. Except for the A-300's, all of their aircraft were polished aluminum. I think now they are all white, but I haven't personally seen one. Cheers!

They did paint the cheat line & logos on those shiny silver birds.

The whole point was 'cheap and shabby.' That in an era when 'cheap and shabby' was the exception!

Maybe we should credit them with inventing it, sorta like Al Gore and the Internet.

Quote: All i know is that EAL has done so much in 10 months , that it is incredible.

3: EFB Approved and certified.Still in the works
4: OPT Approved and certified.Still in the works
5: paperless cockpit. No paper flight plan. We only wish
6: one B737 simulator on property (1 out of 4)This is correct
7: one FTD on property. (1 out of 4)Not yet
8: confirmed order of 20 B737 max.
9: confirmed order of 20 MRJ.
10: employing more than 200 people.
11:long range navigation approved.Yes

And many more.

I will say thank you E.W for the job well done.
And only time will tell.
The new Eastern has definitely accomplished a lot in the short span they've been around. Management seems to be working hard towards the goals EW has set. So far everything EW has said he wants has come through.
While it is going to some growing pains, I think the pilot group and pilot management has been working hard to keep the operation going. They have very aggressive goals.

Any news on Hiring and how The company is doing?

I believe they have orders for 20 800's but not sure if it's firm or on hold. I don't see any place on the website to submit an app.

Thanks for the info. Like I said it is kind of hard to search for anything about their work rules. Does any one know how are the schedules, is there any sort of health insurance ?

Are they even running classes. Seems like all news from them getting scheduled service as stopped.

I think they are hiring FE's on the 727 but you have to go to New York. Junior DC-9 right seat bid just went to an 87' hire in PHL. Junior Captain is DC-9 New York and was an 80' hire.

Oops, wrong decade, my bad.

I forget somtimes that this business had the fun sucked out of it.

Thanks again Lorenzo you giant Douchebag for ruining the best airline ever. I'm going to reanimate Eddie Rickenbacker and haunt your dreams.

I heard there are running an upgrade class now, and putting together a new hire class for early August. There is a place to apply on the website.
