As I understand it, the training facility (simulators) it is being constructed/developed and will be operated by Eastern Airlines along with another major aviation training company.
From what I've heard and seen, there is no BS coming from management.
Considering we are dealing with aviation, "knock on wood" everything has been on schedule.
Everyone seems competent, experienced 121 and charter or military background.
Of course every start up sounds great but in all reality so far no one it's been selling false dreams... And no, I'm not drinking anyone's kool aid.

I believe the plan is to begin scheduled operations before the end of 2016
Based on previous employments and somewhat industry standards,
Sometimes it is hard to remain optimistic.
Fortunately this place proved me wrong a few times and I hope this continues.
Not sure if this is progressing in a timely manner but time will tell.

Hopefully it wont be that way. I don't work for them, but I hope 1 day I will. The way I see it, is an other company providing career opportunities for many. And eventually will brake the monopoly that American has in Miami.
if you see the panthers airplane In FLL is because eastern is getting pay for having that airplane seating it is dedicated exclusively to the Panthers. The other airplane was in FLL because it was doing WW II veterans flight to Washington.
The company have 5 airplanes and 2 more by February, expecting to have 10 by the end of 2016. With the new airplanes starting to come in 2017.
I am following Mr. E.W , and so far he has accomplished everything he saids. I am not saying it is easy or it is going to be easy. But we have to wish them best.
Specially if I want to work there. 😄
My Two cents To Help Eastern.

Yes , we have the fourth airplane on property and the fifth should be on sight in January, also the company updated the B737 order from 10 B737NG to 20 B737-Max. And the first out of 10 simulator should arrive Miami in February. The company also plans to have 12 airplanes by the end of 2016.
