A Captain I met, that flys in and out of LGA a lot, said to me, and the attached report confirms, it was moderate rain, a 7 knot tail wind and they landed long. They then tried to go off into the grass instead of right into the arrester bed. Yikes. Lucy, you have sum splainin to do!
As far as AB goes, he has a rather poor track record honestly and has flown, and terminated, by A LOT of carriers.

I just love commas!
Looks a bit bad to me but I was NOT THERE. LGA should probably have been landing on 4 but the PIC is always responsible as we all know. Diverting to JFK would have been a better idea. LGA is short when it's dry nevermind a wet runway with a tailwind. Again, not sure why they are off the side of the runway but aquaplaning could possibly explain it.
"Ground observers reported it was raining hard at the time of touch down, water was splashing everywhere from the aircraft".

Ok guys here is my $ .02 worth..
During interview we were told flag/dom was on the way and pax would soon follow with x number of planes.
So far flag dom on hold for obvious reasons and planes are trickling in.
Schedules are 3/4 on with 3/4 off. Scheduling department is a joke. They take your days off and reschedule them as they please. You have to complain and stand your ground.
Jumpseating is getting better with more airlines coming.
Pay is being looked at but for now its crappy.
Upgrades are happening if you meet the minimums not necessarily seniority.
Synopsis:
Eastern recently went through a CEO change. Is it going to be a good change? Time will tell. Yesterday Chairman came to talk to employees and the feeling everyone left with is that for now Eastern will be a charter operator and pax service somewhere down the horizon.
As far as how the airline is being run and morale. The morale of employees is dirt bottom. The flight attendants are not happy. They are being abused and preferential treatment is killing the morale.
The management does not like to be compared to a "36 st airline" but the mentality is the same. The scheduling department is being led by a 36 street reject that has been fired from various airlines or removed from position due to his lack of respect for crews and his treatment of others, constantly lies to cover his position. The company continues to hire people from 36 street airlines with history of being fired for incompetency or trouble making. The pilots are fed up with scheduling and their practices. Scheduling rules are in the works but nothing for sure. I see a Union in the future.
There are rumors of a change in CP and training positions. The current CP is a very knowledgeable person with great experience. He is approachable and will listen to your concerns and come to a favorable conclusion. He is being promoted to DO. This is the only positive change.
The new CP is the old director of training. A person with a narcissistic personality. I know people that have worked with this individual in the past and nobody has anything nice to say. I have personally been in a few sessions with him and his attitude is old school full of trickery and not conducive to a training environment. The type of pilot that will throw you under the coals without first getting your side of the story.
So at the end of the day, pilot and fa morale is through the floor. Nobody is willing to help or answer phones until changes are made. Unfortunately not all the changes are good and you just have to give enough rope for these people to hang themselves. On the meantime, the airline is losing good people and will continue to do so. FA's are jumping ship, pilots are jumping to Atlas/Spirit and searching for better opportunities.
