Quote: Precheck is probably the worst route to go, to pay for the extortion mentioned above. Get NEXUS, which is only $50 to apply, and includes both Global Entry ($100) and PreCheck ($85).
I'd check that, I don't think Nexus includes global entry. Other way around global entry includes Nexus. Nexus is a Canadian to us program, global entry is... Well global... But you're correct that Nexus would include pre check.

Percentage of my cell phone and cable/internet bills, dry cleaning, shoe shines, hair cuts, toiletries needed for work, travel related supplies (luggage, bag repair, wheels, extra chargers), percentage of laundry supplies, job fair costs, resume review costs... to name a few.

Unless you have a mortgage, most people won’t be able to claim anything.

Tips and hotels that I pay for (tips to van drivers provided by the company not allowed). Things I buy that are required for work, such as headsets and uniforms (less what I buy at crew outfitters, since it’s provided by the company).

The phone and internet thing, I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole, personally. It is not required for work (can do all I need to at work in that regard). Some will argue it, but I am not willing to prove to the IRS the portion of my cable bill or cell bill that is used for work; too subjective IMHO. I don’t dry clean anything except the coat, but basically anything you spend to launder your uniforms. M&IE that is unpaid by Endeavor up to the DOT allowable amount.

State/local sales tax, and state income tax paid last year are also available as deductions.

And if this new tax bill goes into effect, it’s highly unlikely that the majority of us will be able to itemize at all because the standard deduction will increase to $24K for a married couple ($12K single).

May sound random, but anyone know any crew training schedulers very well? Shoot me a PM please. Thanks

Is there a memo out in cyberspace allowing us to turn on the auto pilot at 400’ on an RNAV departure? If so, what is the number? On the ipad, I can only go back to 16-03.

If not, then I would go with the CFM which says autopilot on no lower than 600’ on departure.

I’ve never heard of 400 ft autopilot on for RNAV SIDS.

600 feet is a limitation regardless of departure procedure.

400 ft autopilot off on a non-precision approach. Only time I've seen 400 mentioned with the autopilot.
