Yes, I'm prepared for that (mentally), as well as I can be anyway. I'm just trying to see which may be the least painful option.

I've heard ATL-DTW is a tricky commute.
FWIW I think we operate a few DFW-DTW flights on the 900, so you'd get jumpseat priority if needed.

LGA made sense because of the hourly shuttle out of Atlanta. MSP is far more limited that DTW (at least what I've been able to find so far). My basing preference is solely on number of commute options and time to come off reserve. My airframe preference is solely based on the latter and fewest overnights in domicile.

That's probably the best news I've heard yet!

Are the $23,000 retention payments "guaranteed" to be paid until 2018?

Yes, it's a contractual pay, just like the pay rates.

It would be the same as asking if Envoy could just decide to pay their pilots $1 an hour

Yes, they are part of the contract.

As stated, yes. And because they are not a bonus, they are taxed as regular pay, not the higher 25% required by Uncle Sam.

It's the same as any other bonus payed out at companies. It's WITHELD at 25%, but you only pay taxes on whatever bracket your income ends up falling into, so you will end up with a refund at tax season of the difference.

This is the same at Endeavor as it is at Goldman Sachs, or any other place bonuses are payed out.
