Quote: Got a CJO to the big leagues and I am just waiting for a confirmed class date. In a way I am thankful that it pushed me to get my app together and attend some job fairs. Sucks because the people you work with at SW are the best.

Good news is that so many SkyWesters are getting on with the majors is that I'll still be able to work with a bunch of them there. Best of luck to all those that are looking to move on and those that have decided to call SW home. It's a difficult decision that can only be made by each individual based on what is best for them and their families.
Wow man, congratulations!! That's awesome.

But that sucks for us, because who's gonna take over your spot in the forums as chief complainer and main critic, lol. We need you as the main counterweight for all the company kool-aid.
Quote: Don't forget Cat II approaches...those tend to blow some peoples' minds.
Quote: How is SkyWest initial new hire training ? Is it relatively hard to get through? I'm coming from part 61 flight instructing.

Initial type on CRJ
I'm pretty sure you are a troll.

Wasnt this dude saying he would go to Envoy?
Who here has purchased a home recently? I going through the pre-approval process with our lender and need to show what our guarantee pay is. Skywest does this through a 3rd party website and it was zero help. Just said I was employed and showed how much I've made on base salary and nothing about the monthly guarantee. What have anyone here used? Just show the lender the PPM?

I just passed a year with company so still under 2 years and they can't just look at my paychecks and have to go off of base salary only.

Our lender had to fax something down to payroll in SGU and have them fill it out, sign then fax it back. I never saw the actual document but I had to call down there a couple of times to make sure they got it and faxed it back to our lender.

You work at a regional and can afford to buy a house. Man have times changed !! Congrats !

I used National bank of Kansas City. They have a peron who specializes in pilot and military mortages.

Haha! Chief complainer is a title I guess I deserve. I really did try make an effort to get involved in different areas. SW is a great company with awesome people. In my 6,000 hours here, I can probably count on one hand the crew members that I flew with that I had any problems with. I never worked at another regional so the issues here may be minimal compared to those at other places. For the first couple years I really tried to acquire a taste for that yummy KoolAid with that crushed ice SGU is famous for!!

That being said, this is not the same company it was even 10 years ago. Gone are the days where management and the pilot group could work together and make this a great company. I flew with many senior guys (20 plus years) that were disappointed with the direction the company has gone over the past couple years. I would say my screen name came from my dashed hopes of increasing my QOL as my seniority increased.

I know it is impossible to get 4 pilots to agree on something, let alone 4,000 but my hope is that somehow their is some unity created here to help SW become the great company it once was. It's pretty sad to see the voter turn out for SAPA elections around here and I have no doubt that this is what emboldens management to do as they wish with no reprocussion. I have been one of the biggest critics of SAPA, but I always appreciated the work folks like MM, NL, CH, KS and BH have done over the years. They were fighting an uphill battle that unity among the pilots would've made easier. Even though I haven't been on reserve for over 5 years, it was still an important issue to me just because of the abuse that I know our current reserve pilots face every day. I wish that we could have at least got 80% of people behind making improvements for everyone and got away from pitting pilots against each other (emb vs crj, crj vs 175)

Any pilot here today that thinks we still have a management team that has the pilots best interest in mind has to look no further than what SGU is doing with IAH. Yeah it only impacts 200 of our pilots right now, but what happens when they do it your domicile? To see management do a Bill Clintonesce 'what is the definition of "is"' by taking the word "may" and saying they don't need to pay relocation incentives is disingenuous at best and dishonest to say the least. I do admire that RJ and BH has finally started to communicate to the pilot group that if they don't like what is happening with travel benefits, relocation pay and other PIC type issues that they should make their voice be heard by communicating to those that have control over it. At least they are being honest in how little control they have over these issues.

Best of luck to everyone here. I hope to see a majority of you on the other side!!

Ok Thanks, I'm working on this as well. I'll see if that's something the our lender needs.
