Worse off financially? Comair was the ultimate hit, and it applies 100%. It doesn't get any worse than what happened to Comair, all by the hands of a union. Cannot cherry pick what you "feel" applies. Its real, it happened, and there is zero debate.
I never made the point it WOULD do anything. I don't have that data, and have never claimed to have it. Not sure how I can get that point across to you any more than I already have? We know how things are without a union, we do not know how things would be with a union. A union would require a change to the business model, and business plan. Doing both of those increases risk. If you cannot understand that, I cannot help you. You are on your own.

Your question should be which REGIONAL carriers have gotten worse off financially after unionizing. The answer is most, if not all, in the long run. Pretty hard to formally unionize a subcontracted flying service with four different bosses....excuse me "partners" and expect to remain flexible and successful in the long run. Big unions on the mainline side are much more effective since they aren't dependant on hand-me-down flying contracts and ever changing demands. If we unionize, it might be fairly civil for a while, but when contract negotiation time comes around, the big push and shove game begins and our partners look elsewhere. Union regionals have historically priced and over valued themselves right out of the market.

Seriously? Name ONE regional that has gone almost 50 years, grown as large as this company, has had as many "partners", made nearly as much profit, stayed away from bankruptcies, and still thrives?
None....because they've all gone out of business, bankrupt, or bought out.
That's a fact.

My point is that Skywest has gotten to this point WITHOUT formally unionizing. Some don't like it, but history has shown ALPA, Teamsters, and other unions don't hold near the same leverage for regionals than mainline carriers. The regional business model was designed to operate without union interference, among other things.

Check, with all your constant b****ing and complaining of how bad you think it is here, shouldn't you be working somewhere else by now? Or does sitting around crying work better for you?

The post was more to your lack of rational thought. But please continue with your rant.
Is mommy serving spagettios tonight?
