Can anyone comment on how the split between CRJ's is determined in training? Assuming you are either qualified on the CRJ2 or CRJ7/9, correct? Would like to make a semi-informed decision if they ask on Friday what airframe I'd have a preference for (ERJ vs CRJ)...assuming I make it through the interview okay...

I apologize if I missed it somewhere in this thread.

If you fly the CRJ you'll be qualified to fly all three variants assuming you get the needed training. Which most everyone does. Different domiciles have different amounts of flying between the three. DFW and PHX are almost all 700. SLC has a lot of 200.

Ahh, that's different. I know at least one other regional separates them so that is good to know. Thank you!

Is there a resource that would help me understand how competitive commuting out of a given airport is? Or is it just a live and learn kind of situation?

You can ask online sometimes, but it’s live and learn too.

At Compass I was commuting from PHX to LAX (while waiting to hold PHX) and it wasn’t bad at all, especially with company metal flying the routes. Getting back home later in the day was tough sometimes.

With the big influx of hiring, where is most of the growth going? DEN?

How long would your crystal ball predict to hold a line at LAX or DEN on the ERJ?
What about at least getting long call at LAX?

Thanks all.

Timing for lines is unknown and changes monthly. I know LAX ERJ right now there are pilots with 12+ months off of IOE still on reserve.

AAs 175 will be coming starting in the Fall. Still unknown where they'll exactly be going.
