You'll most likely go through two months of bids during training. Depending on timing the first will come out after the GV and then the second right around the time you finish sims.

So does that mean if you don't like the first base, there is a chance to bid on a different location during the second? Indoc/Ground school for me starts Dec 28th (CRJ), so I'm assuming the Feb bid cycle would be when I'd expect to see the base assignment. My wife and I will be moving to whatever base I'm assigned to as long as it's not in California, but have heard those are pretty much senior locations anyway.

I would find a air b n b the first month, and wait for the first DVR to be awarded after you get the base out of training. Unless you really like that one…

I became a cadet a few years ago, so that's my "date of hire" even though I'm not even in class yet. The benefits are more for things like employee benefits and your seniority in ground school. So I can get 401k contribution matching right away, and hopefully avoid getting sim times in the middle of the night during training.

Has anyone heard back from SkyWest after applying for the recently renewed Pilot Pathway program? I have a friend that completed his application in early June, received an automated email acknowledgement, but has not heard a word since. I know the recruiters and HR team are probably swamped right now, but after 4 weeks one would hope for some kind of reply.

Do you still have access to your Skywest Online page? I still did after covid hit, I never did anything with the program other than get signed up and now that I'm hired it shows my 2020 hire date from being a cadet.

edit- I got in and updated my hours. Not sure what happened before. Nice to know I still have my employee number and stuff though.
