ever is a long timeframe. To the extent that 76 seat aircraft will fly part 121 in 10 years, it sure seems likely though.

nobody can make reasonable regional upgrade predictions for 2021 hires

Hard to say. With Dtw now being the only delta domicile without the erj, and with the 16 additional delta 175s coming, it’s definitely possible. They seem to be shifting more and more 900 flying east to Dtw at the time.

Dtw used to be super junior for capt like just over a year with no 121 time to upgrade. As it stands now, some early 2019 hires are in training/waiting on ioe for Dtw capt. Only going to go down too.

Nope and there won’t be as long as all the other regionals are focusing on the east coast.

What is the QOL like being based in DTW for both a FO and a Captain?

How many days off per month can I expect?

jr FO you’ll get 12 days until you’re holding a line. Then maybe 12-16 depending on month/bidding habits/others.

CA I’d expect 12 until you’re sitting pretty senior.

On reserve you work 18 days, so you will be off 12 or 13 day depending if it’s a 30 or 31 day month.
As a lineholder you are guaranteed a minimum of 11 days off unless you waive those in your bid.

If you want an east coast base I highly suggest you go somewhere else. I think the days of anything on the east coast for us are long gone.

After a few regionals fail in 2022 that might change

... No... It's clear our partners don't want us on the east coast. Go to Republic, Endeavor, or PSA.
