Tons of pilots move on from SkyWest. It is only a career if you want it to be or something has gone wrong along the way.

My original question to the other person was specifically which regionals are far better choices than SkyWest? Mesa or Air Whisky? I don't think so. Envoy? Not in my book. GoJet? Not seeing that either. About the only two Regionals that seem to be up there in SkyWest's class are Republic and maybe Endeavor.

For me, I think the very best Regional is the one in which you can live in base. I live in a NW Mountain State and there is no way I'm commuting to the eastern U.S. while working for the Regionals. I can't say that I've found a Regional pilot that enjoys commuting. Get in, get your turbine hours, and move on up to other things, and hopefully have some fun and make some great friends along the way.

Nope, no issues finding pilots to sit right seat 175. Big issue finding pilots to sit left seat 175.

the whole regional industry is a train wreck in motion right now. The engine in front has left the tracks and is headed over the cliff taking the cars behind it with it. Hang on….

Is southwest more or less likely to pull pilots out of the GPI program to hurt our mainline partners?

Do they hand out any Schrute Bucks when I show up for all of my 4 day trip? Asking for a friend.

What report or method is available to determine what seniority bidding number is required to be a line holder at a domicile? When is it typically updated? Trying to figure stuff out. Thank you in advance
Cheers

On SWOL: Flight operations tab /Scheduling/PBS bid information
guaranteed line holders will get a minimum 75 hour award. Targeted line holders should get between 5 and 100 hour award, with reserve days added at 4:12 per day to get you to 75 hours if needed. Below targeted you may get a li e similar to a targeted pilot.

Two leprechauns worth of Stanley nickels paid out at the end of each 3 hour sit.

You can compare the Bid Info previously mentioned /OO/flightoperations/scheduling/bid-information, to the PBS "View Seniority list", compare the guarantee to where you fall and adjust for the number of red lines above. This is available for sure when bids open 10th 0900MT.

Otherwise for a rough estimate that would consider more senior people bidding down to reserve evaluate where your yellow bar falls in the transparency for the bases of interest at /SKYW/CrewMisc/PBSBidTransparency.aspx - this is only not available while bids are being processed and updated for the coming month at the latest 20th at 0900MT.
