As far as your IOE flying, I think you can request the base you want to do your IOE at, but I do not know the specifics so perhaps someone else can chime in.
You bid day 1 of indoc for your base and it will be awarded at some point after ground school or during sims. The IOE coordinators will send an IOE survey out while you are in sims and you can request a base, a specific check airman, and also put in additional comments. They say they will try to honor all requests but no guarantees

Discontinuing "a number" of EAS routes in the next 90 days... looks like some of the 200s are about to be sent to the desert

I have a class date in may for skywest and was just wondering if I can just bring in a printout of my electronic logbook for the logbook review. My paper logbook is a mess and is basically falling apart(Basically the entire binding has fallen off and is in loose leaf form) so I would rather not have to carry it around if I don't have to. I do have pictures of it through cfi if i need to prove signatures. I also scanned my endorsements and printed them out to put in the back of the printed electronic logbook.

You can get your logbook rebound, so unless SkyWest is the end of your career goals, you'll want to do that anyway.

A print out of your electronic logbook is no problem. This is what I had and no questions were asked. Just keep your old paper logbook for the endorsements.

Sounds good that’s what I am planning to do . Do they need to see any specific endorsements or do they just want to make sure you still have them?

I understand the use of gold days, but can someone explain me the the whole “user/vacation bank” and how bidding works for vacation weeks and what i can actually expect as a junior pilot?

I don’t remember. Just have them with you. It was pretty straightforward. No drama.

You bid for vacation, and get denied. Then you bid for the days off you want, and you get CNed. Then you post the trip for pickup, and nobody picks it up. Then you call in sick or emergency and use your user/vacation bank to cover the hours. It will default to pulling from the user bank unless you call and ask them to take it from your vacation bank. Each day counts as a separate callout against your reliability, so if you call out on a 4 day trip, you get 4 demerits.
