Unfortunately this is probably the tactic they will use given what happened last time. Vote 'no' then get the same contract sent back only to vote 'yes' because it won't get any better. All the while months go by and we still get the same pay we have had as our buying power plummets.
There are a lot of guys waiting on this TA and watching every day for it to drop. Many with one or multiple offers. If SkyWest comes back with anything less than $180-$190 per hour top out it will (IMHO) indicate that they plan to accept what they see as unstoppable attrition until they can rebalance things. It will also usher in a wave of resignations that will likely be unprecedented with names off the top of the seniority list losing all faith in the company (one of them here). I hope they release it soon. Lots of people want to make a decision and will bail immediately if this TA is not eye wateringly good. There wont be any voting No and waiting for a better offer for most of us with one foot out the door. I hope that management understands this. Or perhaps they understand it completely and its exactly what they are planning... |

There is a difference in that time is not on their side as it has been in the past. They're bleeding pilots and very senior guys at that. On one hand I'm worried and surprised that they are taking so long with the crisis attrition happening and it makes me think that yet again, we'll be underwhelmed. On the other hand it may play right into the expectations and plans that management has. I mean, what would it take to keep pilots at SkyWest? Industry changing rates and work rules. They essentially have to blow up the regional model and then hope that they can pay for it in the long run by putting other regionals out of business.
I'm expecting a middle of the road TA with 1st year pay in the $60 range and top out pay in $150 range. Anything more is probably unsustainable under the contracted rates. There will be a mass exodus, and there will be people that stay anyway. Whoever stays - that's the size of the new SkyWest. They understand they have to adapt or die right now, and I cannot see a world wherein SGU wants to compete side by side with an AA WO right now. |

Has anyone gone through the KV for the 175 recently? If so, would anyone be willing to PM me their experience? I have mine soon and am looking to study up so I pass it. Thanks!

This isn't just a slap some new rates on the current PPM TA… this is a complete rewrite of some major QOL i bet.. Takes time to get it right. We all know the consequence of bad verbiage..With that being said. It better be done by “weeks end”…. :-(

QoL defined as more time off, lower line values and better ability to trade / drop |

Know your emergency Memory Items verbatim. Then be prepared to discuss what happens to the various systems as you do those items. Where is the pressurization dump button when you can't see it because of smoke? Make sure your iPad is up to date. the IOS is checked and the currency of your Jepps and company manuals page, and all other apps |
