No. You fly where they tell you to fly. Once you build your seniority up you can bid/choose your trips each month. But if that trip messes up (say cancels due to bad weather) then they can (and will) reassign you to another trip and that trip could be to Canada or Mexico

The only real negative to Canada flying is dealing with customs and the issues with food, and that we don't get paid any extra for dealing with it like every other airline. And the winter weather.
If there is a legal reason why you can't go to Canada, like a previous DUI, then I think you don't go. I don't know the details on that though.

They learned it from their Prime Minister who recently quoted, “In Canada we believe in free and open and frank dialogue”. Unless you’re a trucker, then they’ll get you fired and freeze all your bank accounts until you get your mind right.
