Sorry about that, I thought faster than I typed apparently. Preventing a young FO like me from getting hired in the future by United. I just woke up one morning and this jumpseat war exploded on my face, and suddenly I (and tons of coworkers) read left and right that we gonna get blacklisted and that United could not be a future option anymore. How can you talk about 5200 pilots, like if you knew them all? Like we all got together and voted for this?. Some people agree some don't, but the consequences are gonna be the same. Do you know me personally? How can you say I'm unprofessional? I just wanna be a good professional pilot, and have a nice career. But all this is getting out of control, and it's not fair.

ALPA National would never publish a list due to liability. If someone else wants to, it’s all on them. Only those who actually tell a United pilot no would be in jeopardy of being placed on a list, not an entire pilot group. My guess is that the vast majority of Republic and Skywest pilots don’t pay any attention to a recommended ban of United pilots.

Not saying YOU are unprofessional at all. However, again, I strongly recommend that you and your colleagues contact your SAPA reps and let them know that this is NOT in your best interest. Trust me, in my 22 years at UALPA I’ve done just that with my own union on many occasions.

Obviously any list will probably not come out publicly.

Do you think we aren’t doing that? We have been doing just that.... I have personally called SAPA reps 8 times in the past three days expressing my frustration. I know many other coworkers that have done just the same. I understand your pilot group’s frustration but it’s amazing how quickly some of your coworkers throw our entire pilot group under the bus as if we were scabs. Whether it’s a guy smearing the name and public profiles of two OO pilots that didn’t even deny the jumpseat, or the two UAL guys who came up to me yesterday at the airport just to tell me they will do everything they can to make sure I never work at UAL.

Excellent!! And I have heard many positive reports of OO pilots ensuring our United pilots that they will not be denied an open jumpseat on their United Express flight regardless of Mr Arnold’s interpretation of what constitutes a violation of FARs, which in itself is a comedy of lies. And for the record, I believe it is SAPA and Mr. Arnold that has truly thrown the OO pilots “under the bus” on this matter.

Here’s an idea, I know this is unheard of and going to sound crazy. How about voting in ALPA so you actually have a legal voice in matters?

But I thought OO pilots are anti-union? In all seriousness though I would certainly be for it and I’m willing to bet the majority of our 5200 pilots would be too.

GoJet dispatchers on their own metal. That makes sense and they go ahead of United pilots as well on their metal. If you sign the agreement then you'll always be ahead of the GoJet dispatchers except for their metal. Don't sign and you're OAL.

Must ride "above" the FAA? Time for you guys to start acting like you've been around the industry for more than a couple months. This must ride United Personnel really has you guys spooked doesn't it? In 23 years I've never seen a pilot bumped under this category unless it's an LCA giving a line check at United. Hint: our LCAs won't be giving you line checks so enough with the conspiracies.
