SAPA representative: "It looks like this captain let a UA pilot ride in the jumpseat."
*takes off SAPA badge, puts on SGU hat*
"I guess I'd better let the chief pilot know immediately."
Seriously, guys. The FAA isn't going to violate you. The company might fire you as an example, though.
On the plus side, that'd probably be a really easy way to find yourself on the short list to United.

I’m not going to change your mind so I’m not going to argue the point.
A sub-contractor should never have priority over an employee on a leased asset. Ever.
And yes, my opinion was the same when I was working as the sub-contractor.

IF it’s operating a U flight number, U is paying for the asset. That makes it theirs.

"I think that contracted airlines should be below mainline in priority." Simple argument that gets to the heart of the matter. I disagree with it, but I'm not going to spend time arguing it. But if things start getting brought up that aren't accurate or are misleading, then I have compulsive need to

I believe that's correct, for the most part. Although "Approved United Personnel" would have priority over everyone except the FAA. Here's a visual from the 9E forum if it's easier. Link
1) Must ride: Not to be used for regular commuting pilots that call scheduling after getting bumped of the jumpseat?
2/3) Own metal.
4/5) Is this all UA express, or just exclusive?
6/7) Me (and depending on the answer for #4, Go-jet and SKW I guess)
8/9/10) who cares...

I mean, okay, but United isn't leasing the aircraft either. They pay for the seats and flight completion though, that much is true. Just trying to clear up any misinformation If you don't think express should ever have priority over mainline, then you're certainly entitled to that opinion, but make that your argument then. No need for the false pretense, right?

So just to clarify for myself (innocent bystander, just curious), please correct me where I am wrong:
1) Must ride: Not to be used for regular commuting pilots that call scheduling after getting bumped of the jumpseat.
2/3) Own metal.
4/5) Is this all UA express, or just exclusive?
6/7) Me (and depending on the answer for #4, Go-jet and SKW I guess)

For now, we are at OAL. The chart for flying on Express-Exclusive carriers and mainline is different than this one.
