ALPA wants United pilots to fill out a PDR on pilots from Republic and Skywest who deny a jumpseat. They also want one, including the names of the Crew (if possible) for those who take a United pilot. Those who are denying the jumpseat are few and far between. They are being reported and the company will decide what, if anything, will be done to them. If I was trying to get a job at United, I’d rather have my name on a list of people who they consider accommodating and professional, than one where the opposite is true. It has been made clear that there is no legal issue taking a United pilot. A positive PDR can’t hurt your chances of employment with United. A negative one can’t help.

1. So I see what you're saying here, although the WO is also the only exclusive one to my understanding. So the structure would still be the same.

2 glad you agree, this is a glaring loophole that has i think could be use against OO pilots
no one (important) asked me about the nuclear option. i would have not signed, moved them to OAL status and moved on. if UA implemented 24 hr prior online checkin for OO flights i would have moved them below OAL to protect FCFS at the gate (no online JS checkins for OO jumpseats until we have an agreement)

Yep. I’m glad that I didn’t chase upgrades and was home for all of that. I really doubt that guys are out there trying to get bumped, but every company has their crazies. Not many would try to get bumped and leave thousands of dollars on the table for missing a trip just to try to get a regional guy on a list. If they do, they should be thrown under the same bus as those who are denying jumpseats. I doubt that the data is all that skewed. There will be far more positive reports than negative. As far as resolution vs repercussions, don’t act a fool, and there are no repercussions. If a carrier doesn’t want to sign it doesn’t really matter. United and that carrier are considered OAL until the agreement is signed. This whole long thread would never have happened, except a few radicals decided to go nuts.
