If it matters, I believe the OP is an FO who was against denying the jumpseat.

Congratulations to Skywest and Republic for their hard fought win. You showed the true meaning of leverage utilizing your jumpseat over 60% of United's system. Your communication skills of timeliness and accuracy are unmatched. Your ability to involve all stakeholders, management, customer service, flight operations, and the FAA enabled to you stymie the commutes of hundreds if not thousands of United pilots. Be proud. Tell your FA girlfriends to cry no more. Your interview is once again right around the corner. You can lift your head high and wow the interview Captain with your jumpseat story during the TMAAT portion. You are definitely United Rising.

Now that this is behind us, let’s move on to the next phase of jumpseating, International jumpseating (on the actual jumpseat). I know it is being worked on. Would be a nice benefit for many of our UAX pilots as widebody jumpseats are much more comfortable on a 10 hour trip than a middle seat in coach. You eat a lot better as well. Imagine the exclusive ALPA UAX carriers will test the system for a trial run before it goes live.

Here is the United MEC update

October 18, 2019
United / United Express Reciprocal Jumpseat Boarding Priority Update #4

After more than one year of unnecessary delays, Mesa, Republic, and SkyWest have finally signed their new reciprocal jumpseat agreements. We now have signed reciprocal jumpseat agreements with all eight of our UAX partners.

The priorities listed in the Oct 18 Flt Ops Bulletins 19-199 and 19-200 recognize the new agreements by moving these three carriers from "other airline" into the "non-exclusive UAX" category. This is the exact same category agreement these non-exclusive UAX carriers were originally offered.

Fair access to the jumpseat is paramount, and the denials experienced by United and exclusive UAX pilots were unacceptable and immediately addressed by the MEC.

We credit each and every United pilot for being professional and helping to bring this issue to a successful conclusion. Through your efforts, the United MEC worked effectively to finalize these agreements.

Its not a spin. Read the update that SAPA put out last week. They even showed the exact same priority and said it was being forced on them. They signed it today showing they were just full of hot air. Unfortunately there is a lot of collateral damage because of it.
