Yep but they may be disappointed from the sounds of things. The number of financial institutions actually calling for it to happen are in the minority, the remainder I have read about either think its a toss up or not going to happen. The majors have generally all announced no plans to cease their hiring regardless.

OO needs a guaranteed majors pathway, not just a "we will let you interview so long as you never call out sick and good luck if you get an offer" pathway. As another poster said, it seems like OO is right sizing themselves at the moment given the unusual lack of progress in a new TA.

OO currently flies those routes under part 121 rules. They are trying to get this 135 thing going solely to allow less qualified pilots to operate these same routes. How is putting less experienced pilots behind the controls of the exact same airplane, flying the exact same routes not a safety issue?

Sure, but there are plenty of 135 RJ operators with 1500/250 hour crews with safety records as good as ours.

Ok. Then where does it stop? Let’s just maximize regional flying completely within that model. Bring on the ERJ too. Totally scrap Colgen. Where does it stop?

Why can’t you see the connection to your paycheck. Long term? Oh how SGU wants to get back to $25/hour days…….

That’s why you need to get out of the regional model. CC is savvy and if there is a a way to cut costs SGU will pursue it.

Okay, guess we should just go back to the way things were before Colgan.

With many tens or hundreds of millions of segments completed?

With a couple decades of perspective on my part, I'm going to say that many or most wet commercials are a weak link in 121. And when they upgrade, they're missing some valuable lessons which most of us learned in 91, 135, or the mil.

135 is not intended to be as safe as 121... and guess what? It's not.

at the end of the day the only thing that matters is what is permissible by the FARs. CC will do whatever he can legally do.

I assume they thought about the liability they are taking on. A Colgan type mishap could be the end of SKYW.

Perhaps. But the one thing OO hates more than anything is bad press. I would imagine they could potentially reconsider if the media pick it up and run with the "unsafe" angle as they love to do any chance they get. Im sort of shocked they haven't yet to be honest.

That said, the public get over this type of thing pretty quick. Everyone swore they would never fly on a MAX yet here we are today where 99% couldn't care less.
