I got an email last week stating that, due to captain upgrades and training limitations, my class date was getting pushed back a couple months; but no specifics on exactly how many months. I would be curious to know, all of you who were schedule for March classes and have not received the dreaded email, if you maybe you haven't checked your spam or lost it somewhere in the hundreds of other emails? Or if FO training actually continues in March, which I doubt at this point.
I was also in your class and got the email. I don't think they know when they will be able to get us rescheduled.
I have a friend that was supposed to go end of January and they have not heard back on an updated class date yet. The waiting and not knowing is the worst part.

Has anyone heard anything about 3/31 and 4/10 Erj class?
How long prior to starting can we expect to get access to Skywest Online?

Expect around 2-3 weeks prior to get access to SWOL. Have you been assigned the new hire tasks on your Welcome page to upload documents, drug testing, etc.? Probably won't get SWOL until those are done.

I was given the CJO late October for an early Feb ERJ start date, which was obviously pushed back. In that October CJO email, they said I should expect an email with access credentials to SWOL. I never received it, or a response of any kind, even after inquiring multiple times. It makes me wonder how long they knew they were going to push these classes back.

see comment in the Skywest?s thread.
I doubt management even knows when they’ll be able to stabilize classes right now. They can’t fly current FOs full time without more CAs. Adding more zero time FOs will just slow upgrade time on current FOs and increase their loss rate. They desperately need for the majors to stop hiring for the regional model to recover.

I doubt majors will slow down their hiring for the regionals to recover. This seems to be a pretty bad bottleneck that I'm sure they are trying to work out however they can. My best guess is they would need to focus on improving their ability to train more pilots (Captains and FOs) to keep up with attrition rates. I would love to see how they solve this problem and still maintain profits.

No, the issue is how they generate enough SIC hours to get enough FOs the SIC hours required to upgrade, when they are losing CAs with less than 1000 hrs of 121 TPIC and FOs with no 121 TPIC at all. YOU CANNOT GENERATE A SINGLE HOUR OF 121 SIC time without a CA in the left seat for that hour. And it may not be a problem that they CAN solve.

the only thing they can do is hope and pray that mainline hiring will slow down. It is shrinkage until then.
