SkyWest: Training Delays?

Yeah, and everybody would like to enjoy the cruise, but when the boats leaking badly you gotta bail. Even if it’s to bail to an LCC. Waiting until they were senior wasn’t doing that. They aren’t going to upgrade in base if Skywest shuts down either.

Has anyone who has a canceled class date for the ERJ switched over to the CRJ and gotten a date again? I want to do this because I don't want to have to wait for months and months to get fit back in.
So many people have told me to just wait for the ERJ, but I don't really care what plane I fly (I picked the ERJ for the bases and QOL); building seniority is very important to me.

We all would be. But I can't imagine SkyWest would be the cheapest option out there given the size of the operation, the costs involved to terminate the other contracts, and that it's a publicly traded company. Besides, Delta already has Endeavor. American has their wholly owneds. And United has CommutAir and Mesa.
Unless I'm missing something from my seat in the mushroom farm, I don't see SkyWest getting bought out by any legacy.

SkyWest has size on its size. They already lease Delta (Endeavor) 40 engines. And OO is GE’s largest costumer.. SkyWest will be around a long time. But for a new pilot i would get in on one of the “flow” deals.. I would only recommend OO for those that want to live in base and are not in a hurry or just want to stay at a solid regional. $216hr and 12% 401k, living in base. Not a bad gig…

sounds like most of it is covered by our partners. SkyWest inc has 1 billion in the bank. Im sure they can figure it out.. i only have 15 years left. 10 years here money/retirement is the same as 15 years at a Major.. Now if i was under 40. No way would i stay… To each there own…

You do realize instructors here at the top of the pay scale will make over $300K without much effort. I'm sure they'll be a good number over $400k.
And we do have instructors posting here.
Even your regular line holding captain at top of scale is probably $250K now.
