upgrades = as many that are qualified. Newhire classes not clx’ed as far as anyone knows, but size of classes smaller do to the “imbalance”. And trying to shrink the wait between indoc/systems.. It’s all captain driven.. attrition has slowed a little. Ask again on Feb 1st and will see.. everything is subject to change.. as we have seen the last 6 months.. be toxic all you want. Every airline is going through teething pains… SkyWest included..

We're sitting at around 2200 Captains and 2500 First Officers. Considering 200+ of those Captains probably aren't flying due to being instructors, management, or out on some sort of LOA, it's rather unbalanced. Typically, we'd have several hundred more Captains than First Officers.
