Objectively, I do a recall a couple ALPA advocates back in the day who took it to the level of religious extremism. Easier to hero worship something when you don't have any experience with it. But that would all self-correct if it got voted in.

I am talking about many current ALPA members, not potential ones.

Hmm. I haven't seen that. Actually living the reality of any human enterprise is pretty grounding. It's when you start fantasizing about saviors and heroes that things can get a little weird.

All I would have to do is create a respectful post as to why SkyWest is better off without ALPA and this forum would set a record for the amount of responses to a single thread. Would be an ugly, ugly sight to behold.

I have quite a fan base of those exact nutcases I speak of here on APC thanks to comments I made.

I don't think you are as important as you think you are...

The behavior of some says otherwise.

FO's are really a renewable resource and the company is doing then a favor with every hour accrued. At the other end, LCA's are a precious commodity that command career wages. Captains are in-between
Regarding your reference to “favor” .. Are you saying that Skywest entity is doing the pilot a favor by employing the pilot / FO?

It's not a SkyWest thing, it is a current state of the industry thing. As was said in the previous post, pilots that want to get into the 121 world right now are beyond plentiful. A couple of years ago all the regionals were fighting over the same pilots to come be a FO for them, there were not enough for everyone to meet their demand. Right now, complete opposite, there are more pilots available with apps in than there is demand for new FOs at the regionals.
