So scenario is you complete all your training at Denver and are assigned ORD as a base.

You need an apartment as you have no family there, need a car there but also need the time to set yourself up plus any other teething issues.

As a new hire about to go through this I'm keen to hear what others did.

Thanks in advance.
I would use sapa forums to look under housing or ask someone on here for crash pad info. Chicago has a very good train system and many people don't even have cars. Blue line runs from downtown straight into ORD.I'd get a crash pad near a train and use that for a month or however long it takes you to find a long term place. It's around 180-250$ a month and usually have very little commitment. Good luck

The only way I believe they go to xjt is if they dangle it as a carrot during a TA ratification vote. UAL has options for 175s so they can exercise 18 of them and award them to whoever they want.

You'd need a lot more than 10 planes to justify starting a program, why wouldn't those planes not come to skywest who already have a program and no issues staffing? I don't mean to knock on xjt but to me it doesn't make sense

Probably, but keep in mind that there are 18 more on top of the 10.

That shows what layer the pairing was assigned in. Check the reason report as well. It will show you what pairings went senior and other reasons it wasn't awarded to you. Helpful to get an idea of what senior people are bidding.

It's on the united intranet under the news tab:

We announced we will add 10 Embraer E175 aircraft to the United Express fleet, offering more customers greater comfort and convenience during their inflight experience. We, or one of our express partners, expect to convert 18 more E175 aircraft to firm orders in the near term.

We anticipate deliveries of the aircraft will begin next year and continue through the summer of 2017. The new aircraft will replace older, less-efficient 50-seat regional jets and are in addition to the 125 E175s whose deliveries began in 2014.

"Our customers tell us that they are thrilled with these modern, fuel-efficient aircraft," said Fleet VP Ron Baur. "The E175s are a great addition to the regional fleet and further align the United Express inflight experience with our mainline service."

The E175s will offer 12 seats in United First and 64 seats in United Economy, including 16 extra-legroom United Economy Plus seats. The aircraft also offer more personal space for customers, with wider seats and aisles than other regional aircraft; a power outlet at each United First seat; and large overhead bins that can accommodate standard-size carry-on bags.
