Skywest
Please excuse the redundant question, but this is a forum with opinions and conjecture. Since posting this apparent aggravation I've received an email from the company that helped out tremendously regarding my previous question. I appreciate the respectful responses and the others do not change my opinion of the pilot group at Skywest.
It's like if I gave you a manual and told you to look up a limit but not tell you the page it's on. It's because there is good information in there that I want you to read as well. Same here. Go back 20 pages and read forward. TONS of good info AND what you wanted to know 5 times over. A little work on your end shouldn't be too much to ask is it?

See, no one has any reason to ask anything because this is an airline forum where people ask questions but also waste a lot of time and energy being complete douch bags. I am assuming by your kind response you don't fit into the last one, but I have to ask why someone would take the time responding to post that did not specify any particular person but asked in generality unless they are tip toeing near the "douche" line?

Everyone going back through 20 pages to find info skip this page. It's nothing but useless info...

How soon could I potentially hold LAX?
Is LAX a CRJ only base?
Are there still a bunch of SkyWest flights between SBA and LAX, or did that go away with the Bro?
How is seniority determined for a new hire class? By age?
Lastly, and just purely out of curiosity, when did they drop SBA as a crew base? (I used to throw bags for SkyWest at SBA, circa 2005-2007)

I believe they closed the domicile in SBA around 09-10. There use to be plenty of commuters from SBA and SAN into LAX. I presume there still are.
Rumors of growth on the United side in LAX have been posted here lately.

They haven't transferred anyone into LAX since around April, which is the same time they announced the American Eagle flying was going away and those airplanes were being transferred to PHX. ( and the PHX airplanes were getting parked). Quick math would say the domicile is overstaffed by 40+ crews, but things change. The American stuff is suppose to start winding down over the next 3-4 months.

Just for clarification of class seniority, does this mean someone with last 4 of SSN is 1111, then they will have higher seniority over the person with 1112?
Seems like an odd way of doing it but I guess they have to do it somehow. I would have thought it would have been when you were offered the job/accepted class date

Anything which might involve human intervention (ie who the HR person decided to call first with the job offer) raises the specter of unfair treatment. They don't use DOB because that might be youth discrimination.
SSN last four is 100% random and cannot be manipulated by anyone.

Yes, 1111 is senior.
