While I in no way agree or condone how these people handle their LCA, it is really well known that if you do get the nod for LCA you are married to the company more than your wife.

As long as they have a fat stack of LCA hopefuls they have no motivating factor to change.

What's going on with IAH? I'm a new hire trying to get there. There hasn't been a ton of vacancies. Is the base shrinking? Seems like I will be looking at about a year or more to get there. I saw a previous post about it, but I was wondering if anybody has heard anything new.

I'm pretty sure with the Mesa 175s there, there is less need for the CRJ700.

You will drink the koolaid, and you will like it!
My favorite story is the SAPA/LCA that let CC know exactly how much he trusted him to do the right thing. After going toe to toe in a SAPA meeting, all of a sudden it becomes a conflict to be in SAPA and a be a LCA. He "retires" from SAPA to keep his LCA status. Interestingly enough, he is no longer a LCA and we have a couple SAPA reps doing both again.

This is just my recollection and some parts may be off. I just find it funny that without a union we are supposed to be able to have all this open communication. And I understand not being negative, but we can't even question if there is a better way to do things. It's funny what the position of power will do to some people.

Houston? I haven't heard anything, but the removal of the 200s from IAH (finally) and Mesa doing the 175 flying makes everything add up in my mind.

Well thanks for the info. It seems I'll have to put my dream of driving to work on hold for a little while.

Junior guy was hired about 6 months ago. Spots seem to open up every few months. How far down the transfer list are you?

I'm pretty far. I just got awarded msp today. And I'm junior in my class of 62. Still haven't finished sim yet.

I wouldn't sweat it. Lots of movement happening. You'll be driving to work before you know it.
