Depends on where you ultimately want to be based. We are picking up new flying on both airframes.

Was offered a choice of 2 CRJ classes just today but was told the ERJ is way backed up and not an option right now. Of course, that was so 2 hours ago..

Thanks guys, I'm looking to get CRJ out based at ORD, but keep hearing things from multiple persons. One last question are CRJ classes held once per month? I hope that there will be a class in January....

CRJ is once a month. ERJ is 2 smaller classes per month. You should have no issues getting ORD CRJ.

Interviewed in Sept. Asked for E175. Was told then I could have a late October class. The next day that changed to mid November. Two weeks later it was Late November. Now I'm wait-listed for a Dec 28 class.

Rather than play the sit-at home with my bags packed game, I called up Skywest and asked to defer until 1Q2016. They seemed amenable to that.

I've been told the ERJ class sizes were reduced drastically in order to deal with IOE backlogs. (A good thing in my experience).

If I was interested in a CRJ slot, I could have started last month.

Had you taken that, you'd be hundreds of numbers better off in terms of seniority...

This^^^^ Each class you get pushed back you're hurting your number by 50-100 people. When/if the music ever stops before you get to a place you want, that could make a HUGE difference. Food for thought.

For me at least, the 1 yr seat lock, stuck in a base far, far from home makes it a wash.
