Is this all for the EMB or in the CRJ as well? Do they ever decide to move the EMB guys to the CRJ for new hire classes before a class assignment due to changing demand?

They have back in 08/2010 to give ERJ furloughed guys the choice of coming over to the CRJ or stay furloughed. That does not appear that will take place this round of CRJ classes. All off the street.

Generally they have to let EMB guys transition to the CRJ before they put street hires in the jet. EMB people get first shot at CRJ slots as long as they have finished their one-year seat lock.

Yeah, I have no idea what these people are talking about. The only thing we've had is in Nov/Dec certain domiciles offered unpaid time off due to the usual winter reduction in block hours.

Our latest domicile vacancy report showed 18 RJ FO vacancies and a few EMB FO vacancies. This was for Jan, which obviously wouldn't include new hires today (they won't finish training until Feb/March).

Like somebody else said, we've seen these rumors before... Last year I heard the same thing (on this site), and then 300+ FOs were hired.
