You are sorely mistaken, please quit with your misinformation you spew on here.

It's $4 override over 87. Far cry from 150%, and then it is only over 87. So a FA flies 120, they'll get 32 hours times 4. $128. Big deal.

which equates to 15-20% overtime pay for most of our flight attendants

and we get 0.

Whatever the mechanic / details are on it, I'd still like to understand the background.

I am sure the company didn't give it to them out of goodness of their heart. They either gave something up or had any leverage at the time.

It would be delusional to expect anything given to the pilot group right now - without giving up something else. An override scheme is nothing else but another pay increase (or cost increase) for the company. Why would they do that? Just because the FAs have something like it? I don't think so.

I don't see that in our future unless there is something in return that will ultimately offsets the cost increase we can offer in return.

From my limited understanding the pay packages for the Flight Attendants have been pretty pathetic. As in no raise and here's a coat.

Yeah but have you seen their opentime? Tons of stuff to pickup.

Anything above 84 is premium for them. Whether they pick it up or are awarded. Most FAs I fly with work 110-120 a month.

We need that.

I flew with one of the guys who negotiated this last pay package. He said the company wanted to give us time and a half for all block flown over 83hrs in a month. But sapa rejected that in favor of the increased incentive pay types. Because according to him that block incentive would have been unfair to stand up crews.... Most idiotic thing I've ever heard come out of someone's mouth.

That's the reason regionals are revolving doors. Get in and get out. Work on the letters of rec and move along

That's what you get when you have a SAPA President that hasn't flown the line in over 6 years and senior pilots on your negotiating committee. In fact, the EB that was in place during the pay vote had the Pres, VP and Exec secretary that none of them had flown the line for years. I think the survey they used as to what pilots wanted was over 2 years old. Of course, we had pilots that voted Yes on the first pathetic offer they gave us.

I'm not buying that in the slightest. That would have cost the company much more than the staggered pickup incentives we ended up with. In fact the staggered incentives amounted to a pay cut despite SAPA arguing the contrary. We played right into the company's hand just like we did with the Bro FO pay raises.

We pilots are just plain dumb sometimes.

He personally likes standups go figure. It may screw the majority of the pilot group but I guess it benefits him.
