Hey guys, newhire on the CRJ here, starting next month. Anyone have a good breakdown on realistic take home pay for a junior ORD FO? I'm planning on moving/living in base and I'll be trying to fly/credit as much as I can. I just want to get a little budget going and I'm trying to get a sense from people already on property as to what's realistic for year 1. Thanks!

What exactly is a regional route, and what specific routes has Delta replaced so far?

A regional route is any route that the majors gave to a regional airline. For now, they still control them. Not sure about delta because United is my goal but United has about 100 additional 737 and 320 aircraft arriving on property as we speak and over the next few years to get rid of over 50% of its 50 and 70 seat aircraft market. Good for us, bad for those who can't move on. The regional era is changing rapidly. Bigger planes but many less.

You'll be on training pay until IOE. Maybe throw a little per diem in there for differences.

Yep.

From day one to checkride plan 65 hours of pay per month and 0 per diem.

Thanks for the info. Sorry if my original post wasn't clear. I was asking about once IOE is over and I'm out on the line.

OK, first of all, there is no such thing as a "regional" route. All routes are those of the "major" who codeshares it. Are you just figuring out that the airline business changes rapidly? That is the way it has been since commercial air travel started.

Delta has taken back a lot on the west coast (pdx, las, San, sea, smf....) out of lax. Out of Slc its been (boi, geg, rno, lax, sna....). Out of Msp (rap, mot, msn, mke, mci....) you get point.

I know we have taken back some of the stuff out of sfo, den, and ord (eug, psp, sea, pdx, msn, mke, rno, dfw, aus, phx) and on and on. It's a pendulum that is swinging in the shift towards mainline.

I think the sgu's and devils lakes are safe though for the time being.
