All of you guys saying that maybe just maybe the women pilots are putting in the work and that's why they are getting hired are blind. That may happen in a few cases but the overall majority is bull*hit. Minorities plus women equal 9% of ATP rated pilots, if more than 9% of each new hire class are women and minorities (which they absolutely are) that is indisputable proof they are getting preferential treatment.

Any truth to the rumor that FO pay will be raised again--this time to $40 - $50 per hour?

It's getting to the point where years 1 and 2 will be nearly the same if they increase it again.

Has there been any precedences for such in the recent past?

There still awarding bids but so far its droped to 2 years 2 monts for DOH for CRJ CA ORD

Am I just having a moment, from my end it looks like it's done and I'm seeing people junior to me awarded Captain.

And you had a bid in?

Turbosina 09-30-2016 04:26 PM

Yup, 2 years 2 months now. Interesting that ORD is where the most junior CA got awarded. It looks like DTW went nowhere near as junior as expected.

Heck they're up to a guy with a 48000 number as a CA now! Amazing.

Cruz, what happened? Where was your bid for?

elmetal 09-30-2016 04:27 PM

Thats so bizarre. I got an msp transfer but I'd have more people behind me in Chicago? Craycray

The bid would have to be in for any training to proceed at all, right? Or can captain awards be granted to anyone whose seniority is up for the turn?

elmetal 09-30-2016 04:40 PM

Yes you gotta bid. Many don't want to upgrade. And thats fine.
