Are you a 175 FO? I'm in the same boat. Junior guys awarded ORD CRJ CA, which I wanted.

I'm thinking they might be holding us 175 fo's for 'staffing'. Or the bid just isn't complete yet...

If you're not seatlocked, that is a bypass, make sure VD tells you this in writing. If your bid was in for that you should get paid accordingly.

As I typed, I got the bypassed upgrade message from Virginia. Looks like there's a bunch of us they are holding back for 175 staffing. Even though we have 65% reserve staffing in ORD.

Lame, looking at the awards it seems they only awarded about 25 175 CA transitions and upgrades when T.T. was crowing about having 36. I'm sure new-hires are getting that sim time.

Seriously? First they bypass CRJ FOs and now this?

Let's not forget Denver is about to add 52, yes you heard me right, 52 aspen lines beginning December. Where are the crews that have to be in and qualified by then.... it's gonna be fun

I registered purely because I'm sick of the "woe is me I have a penis so I can't get hired" nonsense.

Here are the real numbers from united and delta: men are 92% and 93% of those hired at these two legacies since 2014 hiring resumed. Here's a shot straight from the ALPA magazine:

WAI says 6% of total pilots are women. Considering the aging of a more male-heavy legacy group, I think it would be hard to prove that women are currently being hired wildly outside of their proportion of regional pilots.

For the ultimate test, someone go change their sex on the application and see if you get a call....

Wow, there are reserves that barely fly and now they are bypassing FOs for upgrade. At least you will get a pay raise!
