Requote me so that terrible original mess of a statement doesn't look so bad lol. Emotional posting always gets the best of me.

All kinds of myth busting in this:

Fun information indeed. But how is it myth busting?

Not too many peepz coming out of the LCCs, I see.... Interesting.

We still have many 175s coming online this year. I don't know what the training rate is but I'm guessing pre-training was required.

No sir. A little while back united chopped em, and they sent an email to their pilot group which we all ended up getting ahold of. But it was enough to convince all of us united will act sooner next year and it'll eventually Happen.

I'm kicking myself so bad right now. This is what happens when you don't take the first upgrade available. I was on vacation when Virginia called me asking if I wanted the transition in October since a spot opened up. I declined thinking I'd get into the first class in November not realizing the 2 a month are for currently qual'd CRJ drivers not transitions like myself. Well no big deal I thought I'll just get into the 11/29 class and life will be all good.... Fast forward to today and yeah this stinks. The only reason I'm upset is that we're so overstaffed on the 175 in ORD where I'm based and that there should be no reason we don't get to transition. My advice to those of you contemplating an upgrade or when to take a class is this, take the first opportunity you get because you never know when one hiccup can happen.

I don't think the 175 staffing is holding you back. Since the CRJ FOs can go through an expedited upgrade program in like a few weeks, they can crank more CAs out in a short time to meet winter staffing needs.

It's getting to the point where years 1 and 2 will be nearly the same if they increase it again.

With current rates, Year 2 is a pay cut if you got the type bonus when hired. The big year 2 bump evaporated when the company exercised their option to raise year 1 pay to $36.50.

Important to note that the junior captain in this scenario will see their seniority stagnate as FOs senior to him upgrade.

My opinion is that many may be getting comfortable there. QOL and pay is better than they're used to at the regionals.
Not saying they wouldn't take a legacy job if it were offered but it's probably easier to decide things are "good enough" while those at regionals might have more motivation.
Again, not sure and no source..just my take
